NOTABLE PROJECT PROFILES:

Yale New Haven Hospital- Grace Building - Asbestos Abatement and Demolition- This high profile year long 2 million dollar project involved extensive asbestos and hazardous materials abatement prior to complete demolition of the Grace Building on the Yale New Haven Hospital on the urban campus of the Hospital. This 6 story building had asbestos damp-proofing on the exterior superstructure adding to the complexity of the project. The building was demolished utilizing high reach excavators.


Yale University- Trumbull College - Asbestos Abatement and Selective/Structural Demolition- This fast track project involved hundreds of individual asbestos abatement “containments”. Selective /structural demolition was a major critical path component of the entire project which was planned and executed with commendable proficiency.


US Naval Submarine Base - Groton CT- Asbestos Abatement, Selective Demolition and Reconstruction - This project was performed in a high security building and involved the removal of asbestos fireproofing, asbestos pipe insulation, asbestos floor tile and floor tile mastic. Selective demolition was performed for access to asbestos material. Our responsibility included fireproofing replacement as well as new ACT ceilings, new lighting and wiring, HVAC upgrades, new flooring installation, replacement thermal systems insulation and finish painting. Approximate value 1.5 million dollars.


Combustion Engineering - Hazardous Materials Abatement – This 1 million dollar project supported a demolition project that involved 6 buildings on a site with a nuclear manufacturing history. A portion of the asbestos removed was radioactive.
